On top of the 51st floor at Fifteen Hudson Yards, with a 360 degree look of Manhattan, including the Statue of Liberty, supporters of Dancers For Good got to enjoy cbd infused cocktails, heart throbbing dance performances, and had the opportunity to purchase tickets to the 2019 Dancers For Good event taking place at Guild Hall on July 19th. Back for its fourth spectacular year, this magical benefit evening of dance in the Hamptons features a full roster of world-class companies choreographers and dancers...under one roof...for one night only! Be on the lookout for Marsin's interviews which include Glenn and Sharyn Bradford, Tony Award Winner Cady Huffman, Michael Apuzzo, Eric Gunhus, and our Hampton’s it girl Cristina Cuomo as media partner with her PURIST mag.
DANCERS FOR GOOD
During the summer of 2015 dancer Michael Apuzzo of Paul Taylor Dance Company, and event planner/former Broadway performer Eric Gunhus came up with the idea to bring a new and fresh event to East Hampton: a dance festival of some the most prestigious dance companies and prominent dancers in the world, sharing their gifts to raise funds in support of the arts and the local community.
Michael & Eric decided to combine their efforts and the collaboration brought Dancers For Good to life with their acclaimed event in summer of 2016. Dancers For Good incorporated as their own 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2018.
The name is a two-fold in meaning: Dance is a discipline that stays with the dancer for life. . .for good. Additionally, this event brings together incredible dancers eager to give their time, talents and energy for charitable philanthropy. . .to do good. This celebration allows all of us an opportunity to experience Dancers For Good.
The Dancers For Good annual event raises money for The Actors Fund, very close to our creative little hearts.
